Ewing Morris & Co.
Built for investors who read the footnotes.
A quiet, credible WordPress site for a Toronto investment partnership — engineered for capital that sits still for a decade.
The Brief
Ewing Morris & Co. is a Toronto-based investment partnership founded by John Ewing and Darcy Morris, managing concentrated long/short equity and opportunistic credit strategies on behalf of families, foundations and institutional investors. Their clients are not browsing — they are evaluating a manager they may entrust with capital for a decade or more.
Bryka rebuilt ewingmorris.com as a custom WordPress site calibrated for that audience. The brief was restraint: a quiet, credible experience that puts the team, the philosophy and the track record within reach without overselling, while giving the firm a clean way to publish letters, insights and fund updates on an ongoing basis.

Design That Earns Trust Before It Asks For It
Investment sites have a particular failure mode — overclaim performance, overload the homepage, and bury what actually matters. We took the opposite approach. The site opens with a single considered statement of the firm's purpose, a restrained navy-and-white palette, typography that reads as print rather than marketing, and generous whitespace that signals the firm has nothing to rush a visitor into. By the time a prospective investor reaches the contact page, the design has already done the quiet work of establishing that this is a serious, credible manager.

The People Behind The Partnership
Allocators invest in managers first and strategies second. We built a team template that gives Ewing Morris's partners, analysts and operations leaders a proper introduction: full biography, background, responsibilities and the client-service contacts who actually answer the phone. The structure scales as the team grows and makes the firm's depth immediately legible to a due-diligence visitor, without turning the site into a LinkedIn directory.
An Insights Engine For Letters, Commentary And Fund Updates
Ewing Morris communicates with its investors through regular letters, market commentary and fund updates — material that has to be easy for the firm to publish and easy for clients to find years later. The site includes a dedicated insights architecture with category filtering, a searchable archive, and a template that handles everything from a two-paragraph market note to a full quarterly letter. Compliance-critical content — disclosures, fund documents, regulatory notices — has a clear, permanent home rather than being buried in a footer.
