Cava Surfaces
Showroom-first WordPress with a full-bleed lifestyle hero and a marble-tone palette.
A custom WordPress theme for a North York stone supplier — built for the designers, architects, and contractors who know the difference between a slab and a statement.
The Brief
Cava Surfaces is a North York–based supplier of premium, hand-selected stone slabs — marble, quartzite, travertine, limestone, granite, onyx, and engineered options — sourced from quarries in Italy, Greece, Spain, and Brazil. Their clients are interior designers, architects, and commercial contractors who need to specify materials with confidence, and homeowners who want something beyond the usual selection. When a designer walks the showroom or visits the site, they expect the stone to sell itself.
Bryka built cavasurfaces.ca as a custom WordPress theme calibrated for that audience. The brief was aspirational clarity: a site that positions Cava as the supplier serious design professionals reach for first — with a full product catalogue, project portfolios, and a booking system that makes getting into the North York showroom as simple as it should be.

A Catalogue That Thinks Like A Designer
Stone suppliers typically present material the way a hardware store presents inventory: long lists, small thumbnails, minimal context. Cava's clients — designers specifying for a project, architects sourcing for a commercial fit-out — need something different. The catalogue is organized by material type across nine categories, with imagery large enough to read grain, veining, and colour variation at a glance. Natural and engineered stone are clearly distinguished. A "Coming Soon" section signals that the range is actively growing, which matters to trade clients who want a supplier relationship, not a one-time transaction.

Projects That Prove The Material
For a stone supplier, the project portfolio is not decoration — it's evidence. Designers want to see Cava's marble in a finished kitchen, their quartzite in a commercial lobby, their travertine in a residential bathroom that actually got built. The site's project section separates residential from commercial work, giving each audience a gallery that reflects their own scale and context. The result is a site that functions as a showroom extension — a place a designer can send a client to pre-sell the selection before they even walk in the door.
From Browse To Booked In One Click
Stone selection is tactile. No matter how good the photography, a trade client eventually needs to see the slab. The Cava site integrates Setmore appointment booking directly, so a designer who finishes browsing the catalogue can schedule a showroom visit without picking up the phone. Trade enquiry paths are built to handle both volume requests from contractors and spec requests from individual designers — each with the right information ask, none of the friction. The showroom address and hours are always in reach, never buried.
