Caritas Foundation

Philanthropic WordPress with an ochre-curved hero and centered serif copy.

A WordPress + Elementor site for the only 24-month residential addiction recovery program in North America — built to move donors, partners, and families to act.

The Brief

Caritas Foundation exists at a rare intersection: a nonprofit doing genuinely rare clinical work — the only 24-month residential Therapeutic Community program in North America — while also running a public fundraising operation that supports bed subsidies, a women's treatment facility, and a scholarship program for participants. Their audiences include corporate donors, individual supporters, families in crisis, and government partners. Each one arrives with a different question, a different level of familiarity, and a different threshold of trust that must be earned before they act.

Bryka built caritasfoundation.ca on WordPress with Elementor to meet all of them without diluting the mission. The brief was clarity: a site that leads with outcome, explains the program honestly, makes donating genuinely easy, and gives the foundation a clean publishing workflow for event announcements, impact reporting, and program updates — so the team spends its energy on treatment, not on chasing a web developer every time something needs to change.

Donation Flow That Gets Out Of Its Own Way

Nonprofit sites have a predictable failure mode: they bury the donate button, send donors through three pages of navigation before reaching a form, and then drop them into a generic payment screen with no reassurance about where the money goes. We treated the donation experience as the product. Every page has a clear, contextual path to giving — not a global header link you have to hunt for, but in-context prompts tied to the content the visitor just read. The donation page itself explains, concisely, what the money funds: beds, scholarships, the women's facility. When someone gives, they know exactly what their support makes possible.

Storytelling That Makes The Stakes Real

An 85% success rate is a meaningful number. A 105-acre therapeutic farm in King City is a meaningful place. A 24-month program that has no equivalent anywhere in North America is a meaningful distinction. But none of that lands if it's buried in a wall of text on a page the visitor never reaches. We structured the site so that Caritas's proof points — the outcomes, the facilities, the program length, the community model — surface naturally in the flow of the site, rather than being filed away in a "who we are" section most donors skip. The result is a site where the case for supporting Caritas is made by the time a visitor reaches the end of the homepage, not after they've gone looking for it.

A Publishing Platform The Team Can Actually Own

Caritas runs major annual events — the Harmony Ball Gala, the TLN Telethon — alongside ongoing program updates, impact reports, and partner communications. All of it needs to live somewhere permanent, look credible, and be updatable by staff without a developer in the loop. The Elementor-based build gives the foundation a flexible, visual editing environment matched to the way their communications team actually works: update a statistic, post an event, swap a hero image, publish a new impact story. The site infrastructure scales with the organization rather than requiring a rebuild every time something changes.
